This year’s Rocky Mountain Whitewater Championships were a success measured by eleven new racers, and two racers who came back to racing after several years away from the gates. We had athletes from five countries participating, including one Olympian and eleven current or former US national team members out of a total of 42 athletes who raced. In April, five members from TCWR headed off to Foz do Iguassu, Brazil for the 2015 Junior/U23 World Championships. Team USA consisted of 13 total members with two coaches ­Silvan Poberaj and Eric “Butter” Hurd. Each member trained hard for six days on the championship course and competed strongly.
